Debian and Ubuntu

Add the signed preview repository once, then install and update wipeme normally with APT:

Fedora, RHEL, and compatible distributions

The APT and RPM preview repositories support AMD64/x86-64 and ARM64/AArch64. Preview packages never enter the stable channel automatically. Verify the repository signing key independently:

Direct downloads

The GitHub release contains:
  • macOS archives for Apple Silicon and Intel;
  • Linux archives for ARM64 and x86-64;
  • .deb and .rpm packages; and
  • checksums.txt for SHA-256 verification.
Download the artifact matching your operating system and architecture, then verify it against checksums.txt before installation.

Install with Go

With Go 1.25 or newer:
Ensure Go’s binary directory is present in your PATH.

Windows

A native Windows package is not currently published. WSL can run the Linux CLI, but commands, files, and local MCP hosts must operate inside or explicitly bridge to that same WSL environment.
